ஆஃப்கனிஸ்தான், டான் மக்லீன் ‘கல்லறை’ பாட்டு, அமெரிக்க வீரர் மைக்கெல் மர்ஃபி – குறிப்புகள்

சில மாமாங்கங்களாக ஆஃப்கனிஸ்தான் பற்றிப் புரிந்துகொள்ள, அதன் வரலாற்றுப் பின்னணியில் விஷயங்களை அறிய முயற்சித்திருக்கிறேன்.
அதனைக் குறித்துத் தொடர்ந்து படிக்கிறேன் – விவாதங்களைப் பின் தொடர்கிறேன். அங்கு இருந்த/இருக்கும் ஹிந்துக்களின் நிலையைப் பற்றி யோசித்திருக்கிறேன். தொடர்ந்து அருகி வந்திருக்கும் அவர்கள் எண்ணிக்கையையும் வாழ்வாதாரங்களையும் அவலநிலையையும் பார்த்திருக்கிறேன் – பாகிஸ்தானிலும், பங்க்ளாதேஷிலும் இந்தச் சோகம் தொடர்கிறது என்பதையும் பார்க்கிறேன்; நிலைமை இப்படியே போனால், பாரதமும் இன்னும் சிலபல பிரிவினைகளைச் சந்திக்க நேரும் என்பதும் ப்ரத்யட்சமாகப் புரிகிறது.
ஆஃப்கனிஸ்தானில் சர்வவியாபியாக இருக்கும் இஸ்லாமிய அராஜகங்களிலிருந்து ‘ஒடி வந்த’ ஓரிரு நண்பர்களும் ஒருகாலத்தில் எனக்கு இருந்திருக்கிறார்கள் – இப்போது எங்கே போனார்கள் என்று தெரியவில்லை. சரித்திர சக்கரத்தில் அதன் விதிசார் சுழற்சியில் ஒருவேளை, அவர்கள் மறுபடியும் ஆஃப்கனிஸ்தான் சென்று கொலைவெறியில் ஈடுபட்டுக் கொண்டிருந்தால் கூட எனக்கு ஆச்சரியமாக இருக்காது.; 2013-14 வாக்கில் ஆஃப்கனி இளைஞர்கள் (40 பேர்போல, பாரத அரசின் செலவில் இங்கு நான்குவருட பொறியியல் படிக்க வந்தவர்கள்) குழு ஒன்றுடன் கொஞ்சம் காலம் (பொறியியல் வடிவமைப்பு தொடர்பாக என வைத்துக் கொள்ளலாம்) செலவழித்திருக்கிறேன்.
ஒரே ஒரு முறை அஹ்மெத் ஷா மஸூத் பற்றி எழுதினேன்.
இன்று அவர் அல்-கைதா/தலிபான்களால் கொல்லப்பட்ட தினத்தின் 20ம் வருடவிழா.

பின்னர், கொஞ்சம் ஜலாலுத்தீன் ரூமி (இந்த ஆசாமி, ஆஃப்கனிஸ்தானின் பால்க் பிரதேசத்தில் பிறந்தவர் என்று ஒரு ஐதீகம்) எனும் ஹிந்து வெறுப்பாளி அயோக்கிய ஸூஃபி ஞானி(!) குறித்தும்.
தலிபான்கள் பாகிஸ்தானியர்களால் ஏகத்துக்கும் முட்டுக்கொடுக்கப் பட்டு ராணுவரீதியில் முடுக்கிவிடப்பட்டாலும் – அவர்களுடைய கருத்தாக்கங்களின் அடிப்படை ஊற்றுக்கண்களானவை – பாரதத்தில் இஸ்லாமிய பிரிவினை + ஏகாதிபத்திய வாதத்தை இன்றுவரை உயர்த்திப் பிடித்து ஊன்றிவரும் உத்தரப் பிரதேசத்தைச் சார்ந்த தேவ்பந்த்/தியொபந்த் இஸ்லாமிய அமைப்பிடம் இருந்து பெறப்பட்டவை என்ற காரணத்தைக் குற்ற உணர்ச்சியுடன் அணுகுகிறேன்.
…மேலும் ஆஃப்கனிய சிடுக்கல்கள் பற்றிய ஒரு சிறு ட்விட்டர் திரி. தலிபான், பாரதம், தேவ்பந்த் வெறியமைப்பு பற்றியெல்லாம் ஒருமனதாக உளறிக்கொட்டியிருக்கும் அமெரிக்க ஊடகப்பேடி ஒருவரின் உளறலை வைத்து ஒரு ட்விட்டர் கிண்டல் திரி.
இன்னமும் நிறைய எழுதலாம் – கஞ்சா தாமிரம் ஷியா ஸுன்னி குலக்குழுக்கள் தீவிரவாதம் சீனாவியம் இஸ்லாமிய வீகர்(uyghur) பிரச்சினை ரஷ்யா பாகிஸ்தான் ஐஎஸ்ஐ இரான் அமெரிக்க மெத்தனம் ஆஃப்கனி ஊழல் சரியாகத் திட்டமிடாமை பாகிஸ்தானின் வெறியை ஒழிக்காமை, ஆதிகாலத்திலிருந்து பாரத ஹிந்துக்களுக்கும் அந்த நிலப்பரப்பில் மிச்சம்மீதியிருந்த ஹிந்துக்களுக்கும் ஆஃப்கனிகள் இன்றுவரை செய்துள்ள அட்டூழியங்கள், இவற்றையெல்லாம் மீறி பாரதம் தொடர்ந்து ஆஃப்கனிஸ்தானுக்கு ஏராளமாக உதவியுள்ளமை ++ என.
டிஸெம்பர் 1999ல் கடத்தப்பட்ட இந்தியன் ஏர்லைன்ஸ் விமானம் காண்டஹாரில் இறங்கி, அதற்கு இதே தலிபான்கள் முட்டுக்கொடுத்து பாரதத்துக்கு எதிராக செயல்பட்டது++.
ஆனால் வியர்த்தம்.
ஏனெனில், குடுகுடுவென்று ஓடி மேலான கருத்துகளை உதிர்க்கும் அனுபவ முதிர்ச்சியின்மை, என்னிடம் பெரிய அளவுக்கு ஸ்டாக் இல்லை என, அல்லது தணிந்திருக்கிறது எனவும் வைத்துக் கொள்ளலாம்.

இன்று காலையில் இருந்து பலமுறை இந்தப் பாட்டைக் கேட்டுக் கொண்டிருந்தேன். (சம்பந்தமேயில்லாமல் – இந்தச் சோகப்பாடலைப் போய் மெல்லிய, தாழ்ந்த குரலில் பாடி, பலமுறை என் குழந்தைகளைத் தூங்க வைத்திருக்கிறேன் என்பது நினைவுக்கு வருகிறது)
என் உள்ளம் கவர்ந்த டான் மக்லீன் அவர்கள் 1971ல் வெளியிட்ட ‘அமெரிக்கன் பை‘ (American Pie) எனும் ஆல்பத்தில் வந்திருக்கும் பாட்டு இது.
அஹ்மெத் ஷா மஸுத்கள் + பலியாடுகளாக்கப் பட்ட பிற ஆஃப்கனிகளுக்கும், ஆஃப்கனிஸ்தானின் முன்னேற்றத்துக்காக தம்மைப் பலிகொடுத்த பல பாரதீயர்களுக்கும், ஆஃப்கனி மண்ணில் தம் ரத்தத்தைப் பாய்ச்சிய.செய்த அமெரிக்க/மேற்கத்திய போர்வீரர்களுக்கும் – இந்தப் பாடல் சமர்ப்பணம்.

பார்க்கலாம், உலகம் எப்படி விரிகிறதென்று… தலிபான்கள் 1999ல் இருந்து ஆரம்பித்து பாரதத்துக்கு ஏகப்பட்ட நேரடி/மறைமுக இக்கட்டுகள் கொடுத்தார்கள்.
மேலும் அவர்களுடைய அமைப்பின் ஊற்றுக்கண், ஜிஹாதி வெறி அமைப்பு, பாரதத்தில்தான் அதே வெறுப்பியத்தைப் பரப்பியபடி இருக்கிறது.
இருந்தாலும்…

Of the many bureaucratic bungles in Afghan, I recently heard about one that happened about 5 years back.
The US army had a high-profile initiative to provide as a aid, a huge line-up ambulances to ‘the people of Afghanistan’. It was a handshake agreement that the ambulances would have to be imported from India. A leading conglomerate won the deal. Palms greased on all sides – US military, afghan govt, Indian govt – and the deal went through.
And these are apparently pretty high end ambulances, which are overkill for existing civilian infrastructure in Afghanistan. Govt contracts yo!
Now, the ambulances were to be driven through the land-route in Pakistan. And that too was cleared (by due process!).
And then in the last minute – Pak withdrew clearance.
It was a very high profile event with some US general scheduled to present the ambulances with much fanfare. In the presence of Afghan, Indian officials and corporate heads.
So… US airlifted the ambulances from India on some C17 type aircrafts :-)
It was all done very hush hush.
i.e. Pakistan managed to make US spend a truckload of money unexpectedly just to save face, just like that!
And today they’ve pretty much won.

Sir, leave alone the well-rounded scumminess of the Pakistant State.
I suspect this story, though it ‘has a ring of truth’ given the snafu all around; also though am tired of ‘fact checking’ – because there are SO MANY rumours flying in all directions. Still. Am not fact-checking but am instead providing a dump of pointers from what passes for ‘knowledge’ in me, oh well.
Many such items of ‘news’ are all a salivating conspiracy theorist’s wetdreams come true – all happening at their armed-chairs, oh what fun.
Be it as it may. My pointers:
1. Pakistan NEVER gave Bharat access to even normal, humanitarian assistance even before; the road access corridor was ALWAYS denied to us. It has ALWAYS been the case. Whatever we did were either airlifted or went via charbahar of Iran. So why would anyone assume that Pak would provide the access and then face the facts later? (beats me!)
Also, USA almost always airlifted its equipment (even dumb portable toilets – and even pizzas from UAE) from its bases in West and Central Asia – and the transport, if they happened, of sophisticated vehicles would of course be via air.
2. I have followed many such (and even worse) bunglings from authentic sources, like from the accessible and most authentic and out-in-the-open SIGAR reports. There is no inkling of such incident at all – especially about palm-greasing. https://twitter.com/othisaivu/status/1428022038027898889
3. There is this new 2021 book by Craig Whitlock – https://www.simonandschuster.com/books/The-Afghanistan-Papers/Craig-Whitlock/9781982159009 – there is no mention of it. (it is a bitter read)
4. I follow very clueful but very low profile folks for their opinions – there is no hint of these happenings.
5. India indeed supplied some ‘gift’ of high quality ambulances – and they were anyway airlifted on Indian Airforce’s AN32s.
6. For some strange reason am also interested in the design of mil vehicles (of course only at a 101 level) and vehicles in general – but it would be strange if I missed the news of ‘pretty high end ambulances’ – but I could have.
7. I have seen the inventories/lists of India and USA supplied equipment, that are currently available to Talibans/AFG – but did not see any mention of such vehicles as of now. (perhaps they have been converted to mil vehicles, possible)
However, it is still possible that this incident happened – in some form or the other.
Not that I expect even half-decent report/evidence to this connection – but given the bleddy bigger scams and stupidities, we can use it to laugh at the Indian Govt, ‘see, how stupid you are!’

Sir, thanks. Will read-up. With so much disinfo emerging from Pakistan (and liberal media from all over the world) – generally, ‘the unthinkable has been normalized’ – as John Pilger would have said.
In the process, literal ‘liquidation’ of the shia battalions of Taliban that Iran hoped would provide it leverage, seem to have been NOT noticed.
Oh well.

People who can help national Resistance Front based in Panjshir are Tajikistan. Unfortunately Tajikstan is economically basket case and terribly in debt-trap with China . So, China can tighten screws on tajikstan if they help officially or unoffcially .

Sir, personally I have kinda ‘shut down’ with respect to Afghanistan and its environs. Reason is an admix of helplessness and absolutely bizarre, unrelatable facts.
Yes, many of these previous SSRs are basket cases. The situation helps everyone (including Russia, China, Jihad movements) but the citizens of those nations and neighbors like us. (one if feeling feeling really fortunate and grateful that he is living Bharat, warts and all! Honest!)
