பலபத்தாண்டுகளாக நான் மிகமிக மதிக்கும், ஆராதிக்கும் ஒரு பெரியவரிடம் இன்று மதியம் நடந்த உரையாடலின், ஸ்க்ரீன்ஷாட் கீழே.
இன்று மத்திய அரசு கையாண்டிருக்கும் முக்கிய விஷயம் பற்றித்தான் இந்தக் கதைத்தல்.
நான் சொல்லியுள்ளதுபோல ரத்தம் சிந்தப்படும்தான். ஏனெனில், deep seated cancer can never be cured by the cosmetic skills of dermatology. ஆனால் எல்லாம் நல்லதற்கே. இனிமேலிருந்து அங்கே, நல்லதே நடக்கட்டும்.

என் மகனும் (அவனும் நானும் அண்மையில் மூன்றுநான்கு கஷ்மீர் வரலாறு பற்றிய புத்தகங்களைப் படித்துள்ளோம்) அவனுடன் இன்றுமாலை விளையாட வந்த அவன் நண்பனும் என்னிடம் (ஒரு மரியாதைக்காக என நினைக்கிறேன்!), ‘என்ன இப்படி சந்தோஷமாக இருக்கிறீர்களே’ எனக் கேட்டதுதான் தாமசம் – உடனடியாக அரைமணி நேரப் பேச்சை மூச்சுவிடாமல் பேசி முடித்தேன், பாவம் அவர்கள்.
…ஆனால் நட்டநடுநிலைவாதிகளும் கம்யூனிஸ்ட்களும் தொழில்முறை மனிதவுரிமைவாதிகளும் போராளிக்கூவான்களும் ஊடகப்பேடிகளும் லிபரல்-லும்பன்களும் 370 35ஏ எனச் சுயபச்சாத்தாபத்துடன் புலம்புவதைப் பார்த்தால் நல்ல நகைச்சுவை – இந்த ஒரு காரணத்துக்காகவே மத்திய அரசு செய்தது மிகச்சரியானதொரு விஷயம் என்ற முடிவுக்கு உடனே வந்துவிடலாம்; ஒரே நாளில் இப்படிப் பலர் கஷ்மீர், பாரத அரசியல் சாஸனம் குறித்து அதிவல்லுநர்களாகி அளப்பரிய அட்ச்சிவுடல்களையும் அறமார்ந்த விஷயங்களையும் அள்ளிவிடுவது எனக்கு ஆச்சரியமே தரவில்லை. அற்பக் கோமாளிகள்.

கஷ்மீர மற்றும் ஏனைய sickular லிபராண்டு அரசியல்வியாதிகள் அத்தனை எளிதில் இயல்புநிலை திரும்ப விடப்போவதில்லை(நம்மூர் உண்மைவிளம்பிகளான பசியும், வைகோவும் இன்று உணர்ச்சிபிளம்புகளாய்க் கொதித்தது ஓர் உதாரணம்). இதுபோக பிரிவினைவாதிகள், பயங்கரவாதிகள், அண்டைநாட்டு அன்பர்கள், அயல்நாட்டு அனுதாபிகள், ஊடக உன்னதர்கள் என எண்ணற்றோர் நெருப்பைக் கொழுந்துவிட்டு எரியச்செய்து குளிர்காயக் காத்திருக்கின்றனர். இருப்பினும் மத்திய அரசு மிகுந்த உறுதியுடனும், சமயோசிதமாகவும் இவ்விவகாரத்தைக் கையாண்டிருக்கிறது. இதுகுறித்து தெளிவாக எடுத்துரைப்போர் தமிழக ஊடக விவாதங்களில் பங்கேற்காதது நமது துரதிர்ஷ்டம். இனியேனும் கஷ்மீர் விமோசனத்தை நோக்கிப் பயணிக்கட்டும்!

கட்டுரையைப் படித்தேன். வருத்தம். ஆனால், நன்றாக வெள்ளையடிக்கிறார்தான். ஆக, ஆளைவிடும்.
ஆனால் ஐயா, நான் என்னுடைய கட்டுரையில் நேரு கீரு சாச்சா மூச்சா என ஒன்றையுமே சொல்லவரவில்லையே, ஏன் என்னைப் படுத்துகிறீர்? மேலும் அவர் பேராசிரியர் என்பதை இன்றுதான் அறிந்தேன்! எந்தக் கல்லூரியில் /பல்கலைக்கழகத்தில் பணி செய்தார் அவர்? (எனக்குச் சந்தேகம்தான்!)
எது எப்படியோ!
இந்த ஸாம் மனெக் ஷா நேர்காணலில் மட்டுமல்ல, நேருவின் பராக்கிரமம் வெளிப்படுவது. படேல் அவர்கள் டிபிமிஷ்ரா அவர்களுக்கு எழுதிய 1946ம் வருடக் கடிதத்திலும் நேருவின் ஆர்வக்கோளாறுகளால் கஷ்மீரில் ஏற்படும் பிரச்சினைகளைப் பற்றியும் குறிப்பிட்டிருக்கிறார்… அவர் உபயோகித்த பதம், “உணர்ச்சிகர பைத்தியக்காரத்தனம்.”
ஆனால், பேராசிரியருடைய கட்டுரையையும் பிரித்துமேய (அதில் அவ்வளவு பிரச்சினைகள், கருத்துத் தாவல்கள்/பிழைகள்) எனக்குத் திராணியில்லை. அது மிகவும் நீளமாகவும் ஆகிவிடும்.
என் அனுபவத்தில் – பொதுவாகவே, தமிழ் அலக்கியத்துடன் நேரடித் தொடர்பிலிருப்பவர்களின் ‘பவிஷு’ இப்படித்தான் இருக்கிறது என்பதே என் ‘அடிபட்ட’ அதாவது படுமட்ட அனுபவம். புனைவு எழுத்தாளர்களுக்கு எல்லா விஷயங்களிலும் புனைவு புகுந்துவிடுகிறது, என்ன செய்ய!
ஆகவே, என்னை விட்டுவிடுங்கள். அவருக்கும் அவர் கருத்துரிமை இருக்கிறது. அவர் சொல்வதுதான் ‘உண்மையான’ வரலாறு என்று அவரே நம்பாதவரை என்ன பிரச்சினை, சொல்லுங்கள். அவர் என்ன தரவுகளையா கொடுத்தார் அவருடைய கட்டுரையில்? (நான் ஒருமுறைக்கு இருமுறை அதனைப் படித்தேன்)
பாரிசாலன் டானிகென் சாரு எஸ்ரா ஜெயமோகன் பிஎன்ஓக் ராமச்சந்திரகுஹா என ஆயிரம்பேர் இருக்கையிலே இவரும் இருந்துவிட்டுப் போகிறார். எனக்கு ஒரு பிரச்சினையுமில்லை. எப்படியும் அவர் தரம் முன்னவர்களை விட மிகஅதிகம்தான்.
ஆனால், தயைசெய்து ஜெயமோகன் ‘வடித்த’ சமைத்த தாளித்துக்கொட்டிய கூட்டாஞ்சோற்றுக் கட்டுரைகளை என் பார்வைக்குக் கொணரவேண்டா; எனக்கு நகைச்சுவை வேண்டும்போது நானே அங்கு சென்று சாப்பிட்டுப் பசியாறுகிறேன்.

Lets pray and hope for better times in Kashmir. I hope this government will tackle the extraordinary situation effectively. The next big challenge would be the smooth conduct of assembly elections.
And you are yet to suggest books related to Kashmir :)

Hi, The entire media is going ‘ga,ga’ over the decisions to scrap the Art 370 etc. You too! Now the state is divided into two with J&K having a Lt-Governor with an elected assembly. We will now have another version of Dehi or Puduchery with constant bickerings between Lt-Governor & the elected CM.
Now my question is how these cosmetic changes are going to solve the basic issue viz alienation of Kashmiri people and bring them into the main stream. Even now the Governor got unlimited powers to deal with any situation as deemed fit.

Sir, it is not a cosmetic change. There are solid plans and procedures; they will be good for india, intentions are good; the ideas are well thought out, as well us the ways by which repercussions could be handled etc.
For various reasons, I am unable to share many details with you. I am really sorry about that.
Of course, as I have said elsewhere, there will be in all likelihood, bloodshed. There is a price to pay. But Governments follow their own dharma, and it cannot be conflated with an ordinary person’s. And the current Govt has spunk and a can-do/GTD attitude.
And it is ‘no country for old men’ as Coen brothers put it. So I understand where you are coming from, as one myself.
And, I do not think the puducherry skirmishes are likely to happen in J&K unless the current union gov goofs up royally.
See, the propped up alienation is already there, though Bharat has paid thru blood for it already. It is not going to get worse, IMO please…
I really wish we had a forum in tamil /& english to engage in informed discussions without ad hominem attacks, but for the time being this comments mode seems to be the only recourse.
Thanks for sharing your anguish, but believe me, am not trying to go gaga over it, but am definitely happy – having closely followed devs there for the past circa 30 years or so.

how do you do.
I am writing this from Gingle, in Uri. There is jubilation as well as despair here. I came here in july 2016, just after shooting of burhan wani. for 6 months upto dec 2016, there was complete day curfew and we moved only during nights to shrinagar.
This is the place where you have colonies of hindus in a pocket called bandi. there you have famous gurudwara of chati pathshaw at parampila. Right from 1947 since there is heavy military bandobust, still you have hindu population. not kashmiri pandits. local uri hindus.
people were expecting that 35A may be removed. they were neither thinking of removal of 370 and worse division of J&K and reducing the state to union territory. As of now there is mayooz. since communication is totally shut down, people are not able to plan an mass movement. It was just a few days back there was heavy bomardment from bofors batteries as retaliatory fire by late evening. for a couple of hours we had to go to bunkers.
bakr-e-eid is fast approaching by 12th-13th. In shrinagar, it seems there is deal in the early morning hours at few pockets like near dal jheel. here in gingle, even yesterday our grocery shop along with a few shops were open. and we purchased essentials. but yes, there is hostility. hope things would improve in the near future.
