Till circa 3 years back, I was a regularly practicing biodynamic gardener, though lately my foci have shifted elsewhere.
But, I can vouch for the effectiveness of the mechanisms described in this set of practical ideas and technologies developed by Rudolf Steiner, my Guru of biodynamics – who took many desi/pagan ideas and incorporated them into farming – including acknowledging the centrality of the Cow (preferably desi) to a farm, and making use of the rhythms of life and space.

Full disclosure: I have known Ravi Koushik (who is anchoring the workshops) for a while now, ever since we met at a biodynamic gathering at Mysore (some 15 years back or so?) – and am glad that he is very seriously pursuing his mission in life: making farming – a profitable, sensible, sustainable, and non-elitist enterprise – while making available the produce, at affordable rates (not at the atrociously overpriced ‘organic’ scam rates) to the consumers.
