மூன்று வருடங்களுக்கு முன், தர்மாவரம் (ஆந்திரப் பிரதேசம்) ரயில் நிலையத்தில், அவசரகதியில் (லக்ஷ்மணனுக்கு அம்படி பட்டபோது, ரயில் கிளம்பிக்கொண்டிருந்தது) எடுக்கப்பட்ட அமெச்சூர் விடியோ.
பின்னணி இசை: அப்போதுதான் ஃப்ரெஷ்ஷாக அறுந்துபோன என் செருப்பு, ப்ளேட்ஃபாரத்தில் தேயும் + இட்லி-வடா-சாய் இன்னபிற நானாவித ஓசைகள்…கண்டு கேட்டுக் களிக்கவும்.

…குறுக்கே நெடுக்கே என பாரதத்தில் எங்கு சென்றாலும் ராமாயணம்+மஹாபாரதம் குறித்த தொன்மங்களின் தொடர்பு அங்கிருந்தே தீரும்.

You may be correct about the 10th C deal; but ISTR that I have seen the boat crossing scene/guhan story depiction at Thirubhuvanai – pretty close to Puducherry. If my memory is correct, this temple cameup before Pullamangai, again built during the times of the same offending Paranthaka. (I also remember to have seen the same scene in Pullamangai – like a xerox copy)
(would be happy to be corrected – but I do not have any source now to buttress my hypothesis, may be it is from Jagadisa Iyer’s scholarly book?)

I haven’t been to Thirubhuvanai. I just looked up S.R.Balasubramanyam’s “Early Chola Temples” it doesn’t seem to figure there. Is the temple known by another name?

Us 71/2s would have had a grand opening ceremony for you.
Even though I am not a big traveller, after a whole year of staying home, “Idli vada dosa, chaai – koffee” from railway platform sounds like music. This past year has taught me how much we take the little things for granted. Being able to enjoy a tea/coffee/snack on a train/bus without worrying about covid seems like a long forgotten dream.
Enjoyed the video, especially background music. I feel that in spite of all our shortcomings – pettiness, laziness, vetti bandha, dirt, poverty, corruption etc. etc. there is nothing like Bharat and its people. I don’t think I can be happy anywhere else.

+108 to your sentiments about Bharat. Just a few mins ago, was yakking with spouse about that fantastic feller from Adilabad, Ravindra Sharma ‘Guruji.’
Youtube: I started it on a lark ; am not much of a photo-taking person, prefer to have memories embedded in the head rather than anything else – or so I thought.
However – a few years ago, to store (and may be share) some interesting stuff that I captured on phone – mine and via/from others, I started the account. (I was a very late adapter to smartphone and its possibilities)
Anyway. Also. Looking at the way some really brilliant and smart people are creating stuff over there, and having happily enjoyed them, I thought – wait – and so many useless vids are also there – so the latter gave me courage, I hope.
But it is generally moribund, though the thought is there lingering in the background, to do something gauche there too.
