பல மாதங்களுக்கு முன், இந்த மாணவர் ‘ஸ்டூடென்ட் ப்ரொடெஸ்ட்’ போராட்ட விசித்திர ஜந்துக்களைப் பற்றி, என் நேரடி அனுபவங்களை முன்வைத்து, கொஞ்சம் காட்டமான கட்டுரைகள் சில எழுதியிருந்தேன்.
… உங்களுக்கெல்லாம் நினைவிருக்கலாம் – அக்காலகட்டத்தில் – இந்த மாணவமணிகள், ஃப்லெக்ஸ்தட்டி குஞ்சாலார்டுகள் போன்றோர், தமிழ் நாட்டையே சிலகாலம் போல ஸ்தம்பிக்க வைத்தது போலச் சித்திரத்தை விரித்து, போரோட்டமோதி போராட்டம் செய்து, பேருந்துகள் மேல் கல்விட்டெறிந்து — ‘தமிழ்’ ஈழத்தை, ஸ்ரீலங்கா தமிழர்களுக்கு பெற்றுக் கொடுத்ததும், ராஜபக்ஷவைத் தூக்கில் போட்டதும், அமெரிக்காவை விட்டு ராஜபக்ஷவை ஒரு இனஒழிப்பாளியாக அறிவித்ததும்!
அய்யய்யோ! இப்படியெல்லாம் நடந்ததை மறந்து விட்டீர்களா என்ன?? பின்னதெல்லாம் நடக்கவேயில்லை என்று நீங்கள் சொல்லுவீர்களானால், உங்கள் தமிழினத் துரோக முகம் வெளிப்பட்டு விடும், ‘பூனைக்குட்டி’ வெளியே வந்துவிடும்… ஜாக்கிரதை!

On a particular day – a couple of years back or so, I had taken a walk rather late in the evening, with a child, to a nearby lake; this child had just begun ‘schooling’ – and was some 3 years of age – a very curious and an edible bundle at that – and was very chatty; it was constantly commenting on everything and anything and was forever asking questions rather incessantly… why, where, when, what, who and How — and most importantly Why NOTs?
